"I am trying, as it were, to digest it"- Freddie Blay Expresses How Shocked He Felt Over Sir John's Death

Ghanaian lawyer and politician "Frederick Worsemao Armah Blay " aka Freddie Blay, of the NPP in an interview with JoyNews has expressed how astounded he was when he got the news that his colleague " CEO of the Forestry Commission " Sir John had passed away.

The news on the sudden demise of the former General secretary came late in the evening on the 1st of July, 2020. His death has really got Ghanaians and members of the NPP reacting due to their great loss.

Mr. Freddie Blay speaking explained how it was difficult for him to believe because he had met with him in a very healthy state in his office.

“I’m in shock. I am trying, as it were, to digest it. I still cannot believe it.”

"About three weeks ago I was at his office. He was very well and happy, we cracked jokes. He was very healthy and full of life,” 

“I learned, about some four days ago, that he had taken ill and was recovering

Mr Blay stated

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John is said to have died from a short ailment in the ICU of Korle Bu Teaching hospital, following problems in his breathing status.

Freddie Blay expressed how his death has made them down since they have lost a great personality in the New Patriotic Party.
