Alaji  and Abubakar Mutalib both declared wanted in Zongo Community

Residents of Zongo communities in Ghana have in recent times intensified their hate against the practice of same-sex relationships and many of the residents have been calling for attacks on gays and lesbians in the Zongos

The Muslims, who predominantly populate the Zongos, perceive same-sex relationships as evil, since such relationships are abhorred by the teachings of the Holy Quran.

Imam Nurudden Khalifa told worshipers during Friday sermon Khutba that , Administering severe punishment to gays and lesbians is considered as a sacred  endeavor every Muslim and should not hesitate    from undertaking.  He warned two suspected GAY boys namely Alaji  and Abubakar Mutalib for which he accused them for forming  Gay  group  in Zongo.  ‘’Today, they want to come out to showcase their evil practices  against the teachings of the holy prophet Mohammed S.A.W. Slaughter the GAYS ‘’.He fumed . 

Ponting that, when two men have sexual encounter the holy chair of Allah began to shake in anger for what he described as a satanic act being brought by the Whiteman to Africa. Adding that, the recent natural disasters that has hit the world was as the result   of LGBT practices. He further referenced that, ‘’the destruction of the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by Allah was as the result of homosexuality, and  called for a holy war against gays and lesbians in the country.  kill these GAY demons in our Muslim communities’’

Such incitement by the voices in Zongo communities led to the attacks of the voiceless group .

Many gays in Zongo communities, who were afraid to disclose their sexual preferences for fear of attacks, have since left their known places of abodes with their current whereabouts unknown.

Youth of such Muslim communities are known to have inaugurated special task force to fight what they commonly describe as the importation of the “whiteman’s culture”.
