The Electoral Commission, Jea Mensah has finally released official number of seats won by NPP and NDC amid the election

A lot of inconsistencies surround the number of seats won by the NDC and NPP in the just-ended election.
After the declaration of the Presidential results on the 8th of December, the Electoral Commission led by Jean Mensah came out with the official seats won by both parties.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary for NDC the opposition party, disclosed during a press briefing on the 10th December that his party won the majority of the parliamentary seats.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Information minister briefed the press in the evening of that same day also saying his party has the majority of the seats in parliament.
Results obtained from the EC presented in a tabular sheet indicates that the NPP won a total of 137 seats and the NDC winning a total of 136 seats with 1 independent candidate claiming the Fomena seat in the Ashanti Region.
The 16 Regions and the number of seats won by both parties have been indicated on the sheet presented in a chart with their corresponding constituencies.
Meanwhile, there is an outstanding Sene West seat in the Bono East region yet to be cleared by the EC.
