His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, has written a message to express his sad feeling and great loss amid the death of Sir John of the NPP" CEO of Forestry Commission".

He appreciated the diligent and hard work of the late Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie " Former General Secretary of the NPP, adding that he would forever be missed.

The death of Sir John has been a big blow to Ghanaians and the New Patriotic Party as a loyal member is no more with them.

Sir John is said to have died after his exposure to Covid-19. It was indicated that he exhibited serious complications that caused hindrance to his breathing status after which he was reported dead in the ICU of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
