Ofankor Landlord Arrested Over Murder Of Tenant, Charged

Landlord who killed tenant over expiration of rent in ofankor spot M, has been arrested and charged with murder by Achimota-Mile 7 Police command

DSP George Asare, the commander of Achimota-Mile 7 Police Station has revealed that the convict who killed his tenant due to the expiration of his rent in Ofankor "Spot M" has been arrested and charged with murder.

He explained that the landlord "Victor Stephen Nana Kankam" sent a notice to the tenant to vacate the premises on 24th May 2020 but went into the rented apartment, to shoot and killed his tenant a day before the due date.

He indicated that the police investigation team did a thorough investigation of the house of the accused. As a result, 57 AA cartridges and two other guns were divulged from his house and have also been sent to the police station to verify if they have been licensed.

“He told us the guns were for self-protection because he has been robbed before; an accident he never lodge at any police station,”
