Police Command of Ondo State has arrested four workers of Akure South Local Government Council’s cemetery for cutting off five human heads
Four workers of Akure South Local Government Council’s cemetery, have been taken into police custody by the Police Command of Ondo State, for being caught red-handed with human heads.
According to the reports given, the convicts which include Olomofe, 45, Oluwadare Idowu, 67, Akinola Sunday, 69; and Adewale Abiodun, 40; were captured whilst in the act of cleaving the head of a buried corpse on Saturday.
The source indicated that, this was discovered after the deceased's relatives headed back to the cemetery to deliberate on how they can plaster the grave to beautify it.
“On getting to the grave, the family members met the suspects digging the grave with the intention of exhuming the corpse.
“It was at that point that it was discovered that the suspects had four severed male heads and a female head.
“They immediately invited men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, who arrested the suspects.”
The source explained
Tee-Leo Ikoro, the PRO of the Ondo State police command, narrated that measures have been put in place to aid in the arrest of their accomplices.
“The ongoing investigation will reveal everything, particularly other members of the gang. From what we have found out, that was not their first time. It is something they have been doing; it is a routine thing,”
