The former member of Alliance For Change and a Journalist '' Kwesi Pratt Jnr.'', has enunciated on the strategic plans of the president of Ghana '' His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo'' to combat the rapid spread of deadly coronavirus disease among Ghanaians.

In an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi, he carped about how Ghanaians are being given unrealistic expectations by the current government regarding the high increase of Ghana's coronavirus cases recorded.

Currently, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana have been on the rise. In these few months since the outbreak of the disease in Ghana, 2,719 cases have been recorded with 294 recoveries and 18 deaths. The president implemented some directives and as well halt all social gatherings in order to contain and combat its spread among Ghanaians but the number keeps rising. Special precautionary measures have been put in place for Ghanaians to follow but some seem not to follow.

In view of this, the Managing Editor of The Insight Newspaper '' Kwesi Pratt'' has blamed the government for some Ghanaians not adhering to these measures. He explained that, the president keeps giving his people false hope, asking them not to be daunted by the high increase in the recorded cases.

He suggested that, fear is needed to fight against this disease, considering that's the only way Ghanaians would effectively practice these preventive measures, put in place.

"Almost 3,000 in a matter of four weeks is very scary. We should stop the false hope that we're giving to the people. Because if you give people false hope and tell them to wear nose masks, why would they wear it? You're telling them the disease doesn't call for fears and that the person will recover when he or she gets infected. If he will recover, then why would he wear the mask? We need a dose of fear because the fear helps to manage the situation,"
