The CEO of VODEC Africa '' Daniel Asomani'' and the president of Future Africa Institute'' HRH Prince Duke Kesse-Adu Gyamfi Danquah IV'', have cooperated to embark on a project titled "COVID-19 EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS 2020".
According to the leaders of the ''COVID-19 EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS 2020'', this project would serve as a coalition against the fast spreading of the deadly coronavirus pandemic and to also create awareness on coronavirus to help contain it rapid spread which would further decrease the number of confirmed cases in Ghana.
This sensitization campaign on COVID-19 pandemic would be done in specific areas and markets in Accra. The areas involves Greater kumasi, Greater Accra and Takoradi to update ghanaians on this deadly virus and the precautionary measures, put in place to protect themselves.
The leaders of this project have partnered with a fashion accessory firm '' Kenzy Designs'' to launch "Operation Free One Million Locally Made Nose Mask Distribution". The zeal behind this, is to manufacture and distribute free locally made nose masks to market women, health facilities, workers and the vulnerable in the society, to help prevent the spread of the disease.
According to the president and CEO of Future Africa Institute, this disease is dangerous as it poses threat to the health status of ghanaians. In view of this, this project would help support the public education on COVID-19 pandemic as it can not be left to the government alone.
''COVID-19 Educational Awareness 2020'' is thus expected to complement the efforts of the UN World Health Organization, efforts of the Office of the President of Ghana, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Information in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic through education and preventive measures .
