The Ghana Health Service has revealed that,two patients who were tested positive for coronavirus and are receiving treatment, are in a critical condition as their health is worsening.
This was stated in the updates released by The Ghana Health Service on their website and it gave a breakdown of Ghana's situation on the deadly coronavirus.
No details of the two patients in a critical condition were given but gave us a breakdown of the pandemic cases in the country.
According to GHS, 9 new cases were recorded in the Greater Accra Region, as of April 2, 2020, which increased the total number of cases to 204.
“Four of them have no history of travel nor contact with any confirmed case. Other four have no travel history but are contacts of confirmed cases in Ghana and one travelled to Ghana from Benin within the past 14 days,” the GHS said.
The number of regions which have recorded cases remains five: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern and Upper West regions.
“Most of the cases are reported from routine/enhanced surveillance activities. Cases from travellers under mandatory quarantine remain 89,” said the GHS.
