Ghanaians have been warned by the information minister of Ghana '' Kojo Oppong Nkrumah'' regarding the disobeyance of the precautionary measures, enforced to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo” morning show.He made known to ghanaians that, if they continue to disregard these preventive measures, which includes regular usage of hand sanitizer, wearing of facial mask and properly washing our hands regularly, rigorous actions would be put in place and total lockdown of the country, would be enforced with immediate effect.
According to him, if ghanaians adhere to the precautionary measures that have been given, there would be no increment in the confirmed cases of COVID-19 but if we continue to engage ourselves to activities that will put a high risk of high population contracting the disease, the government would have no other option, than to implement a total lockdown.
Some ghanaians are seen crowded in the market places without social distancing and facial mask. Some trotro drivers do not also follow the social distancing rules set but rather overload passengers in their their vehicles.
This has caused many ghanaians to panic as they are worried there would be an increase in the cases of deadly coronavirus.
