The seventh case of coronavirus, has been recorded by the Ghana Health Service in Greater Accra Region.
It is said to be an imported case of coronavirus, of a 35-years old Ghanaian Citizen who returned from france, and has been in the country for the past 14 days.
The patient is in a stable condition and is currently being managed in isolation.
This was revealed two days after the Public Health Director, of Ghana Health Service, confirmed four cases of deadly coronavirus in the country.
However, details on the extent of contact tracing, were made known to the citizens. It was stated that, 350 contacts have been identified and are being followed up. Out of the 350, 2 contacts have developed the symptoms but after a thorough investigation was done, the result came out negative.
The statement further clarified that, all the 7 confirmed coronavirus cases are managed in isolation and are in stable conditions.
As of March 17, 2020, 143 suspected cases for CONVID 19 has been tested by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and Kumasi Collaborative Research.
